LABOR DAY AND DRIVER APPRECIATION WEEK GO HAND IN HAND

Driver Appreciation Week allows us to appropriately extend our most sincere thanks to all of our professional truck drivers for their tireless commitment to safety and service.  Know that you have the respect and admiration of the entire truck community this week and every week throughout the year   WHAT IS LABOR DAY? The vital force of labor added materially to the highest standard of living and the greatest production the world has ever known and has brought us closer to the realization of our traditional ideals of economic and political democracy. It is appropriate, therefore, that the nation pay tribute on Labor Day to the creator of so much of the nation’s strength, freedom, and leadership — the American worker http://www.dol.gov/laborday/history.htm These two go so well together. It is appropriate to acknowledge our drivers and let them know that we appreciate them. To also, remember them on Labor Day. For theyrec are the epitome of the American Worker. What makes you feel appreciated? Is it something said to you? Something done for you? Driver appreciation is something I feel very strongly about. I want to know what it takes to make a truck driver feel appreciated for the work he or she does. A simple reply… A simple “thanks” goes a long way. And it is always easy to be nice to a driver when they are getting the loads delivered, taking crap loads, or otherwise going the extra mile for the company. Showing that same respectful attitude when the driver isn’t able to go that extra mile, or when the driver is wanting to get home for whatever reason is where true appreciation is shown. https://www.truckersforum.net/forum/threads/driver-appreciation.83978/   Thank you for all you do, Happy Labor Day too.
